How to achieve eternal happiness and joy in life

How to achieve eternal happiness and joy in life
Er. Satnam Singh Sidhu BC B.E. M.E.

Work Hard.                 Kirat Karro
Share Earnings          Vand shakko.
Recite God's Name.  Naam Jappo.

Every Punjabi and especially Sikhs believe in this basic principle of Sikhism. And practice to their own ability.

No Smoking
No Drugs
No Alcohol

Every Punjabi and especially Sikhs believe in this basic principle of Sikhism. The least smokers were found in Punjab compared to rest of India during 90s. All buses and trains were free of smoke in Punjab. Moment you leave Punjab and entered Haryana, Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, J&K you saw chain smokers in buses. I am not sure about the situation of West Punjab and Sindh in Pakistan. I do know middle east people refrain from drinking but smoke heavily. I am not aware about middle east women whether they smoke or not. In western culture both smoke and drink are quite common and is considered a personal choice for both males and females.

Till date nobody can be seen smoking in public. It is culture of Punjab. This culture came from Khalsa day (April 13th 1699) when Guru Gobind Singh converted Sikhs into Khalsa. Guru Gobind Singh gave real democratic system to people of Punjab and rest of world. It gave special identity to women. A Sikh woman last name was converted from father's name or husband's name to her own name called KAUR. As most Punjabi names are unisex in Sikhs and even in Hindus that is why Sikh woman was given Kaur from Kumari and Sikh man was given Singh from Kumar. In certain parts of India Singh is also used by Rajasthan Rajpoots. But two Singh's have totally different and distinct.

Sikh Singh and Kaur stands for respect for gender. It stands for courage and to stand against tyranny. It is power to withhold the integrity of humanity against tyranny of political rulers and religious fanatics. It is symbol of love to humanity. It is symbol of support for people in need of help regardless for basic needs and basic rights (fundamental). It is symbol of self pride and ability to fight back against tyrants in all conditions without compromise of freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of movement. It is symbol of self respect, self esteem, self freedom and freedom of all. Sikhs when baptised to Singh's and Kaur's they never looked back and fought back with tyrants rulers with full spirit and continue to do so. They love humanity, they love freedom of self and others, they love freedom of belief and religion, they love democracy and contribute to freedom of humanity.

They believe hard work,
sharing their earnings with needy and always keep One God's Name in their conscience.

(The One God who is Father of all humanity, care taker of all humanity and who put food on table of every human being regardless of his/her deeds. Yet He is fair to judge every action of human beings and fullfill their desires as per their own deeds.)

Guru Nanak taughts Sikhs the above three principles and which has become part of Punjabi culture and especially Sikh culture.

Guru Nanak taughts Sikhs one more basic principle of respect to woman. Woman has given birth to all human beings regardless whether they turn into beggers or Kings. So a man who feel superior to woman must keep in mind that you are born out of mother's womb and that mother is a female. So regardless how high you rise in life you are always in debt to mother (woman) for your birth, Father for your conception and God for putting conscience in you.

Guru Nanak also taught Sikhs that when it comes to compare or judge yourself with others, follow the following rule:

Step 1: Consider you are not as good as others and
Step 2: No one is as bad as you.

It may seems a paradoxical principle of Guru Nanak and negative to those who advocate Positive Thinking.

But if we analyse it deep it is simply teaching us one basic principle:

When you don't like something or someone:
Step 1: then only thing you should do is to change yourself in perception and conception
Step 2: think no one is wrong and bad and focus on their positive attributes, traits, qualities.

Why?
A Criticising others is very easy and
     criticising self is difficult.
B Appreciating others is very hard
   and self appreciating (self priasing)
   is very easy.
C Focus on positives of others and
    negatives of yours.
D This was you remain positive to
    bring change in yourself, others,
    community, society, nation, world
    and yet keep pushing your
positives up by focusing on your
    negatives.
E  So counts positives of others and
negatives of yours to make place
for more positives in your own
    self.
F. Remember man you are born out
    of woman so respect women
    always

This is basic psychology taught by Guru Nanak to every Sikh. Now you may be thinking, why Sikhs only and why not everyone. Well when you look at someone as a Sikh, he/she really not a Sikh but a Singh or a Kaur. Because every human being is a Sikh as per Guru Nanak's definition. Because Sikh is nothing but student.

In Sikhism no one is born Sikh. One becomes Sikh if he/she believes in Guru Granth Sahib (Guru Nanak) and may practice the following:

A Learn psychology of Guru Nanak to widen his/her vision about self, others, humanity, God (Har), Guru (teacher), Sikh (student)

B Practice psychology of Guru Nanak because it is a applied psychology with complete know how.

C Be proud of being Sikh and either become true Hindu, true Muslim, True Christian, True Singh or Kaur,  and True Human, True Environmentalist, True Student of True Guru and One True God of all.

D Be proud of being Sikh and become Khalsa which is True Democrat, True Human, True Environmentalist, True Student of True Guru and One True God of all.

Guru Nanak never bothered whether someone is Hindu, Muslim, Buddhist, Jainist, Jewish or Christian but whether he/she is real and true to God in every action and thought. Because we all are part of God who gets close or away from God by our own deeds. Our own actions and thoughts  either take us away or close to God.

Those of us who are not happy and joyful about life, ourself and others are clearly not close to God and remain unhappy regardless of worldly success and are in constant pursuit of happiness which is only attained by going close to God and not away as per Guru Nanak.

So stop, calm down, slow down, open your mind, rethink about your actions, thoughts and plans regarding achieving eternal happiness and joy. Take help of Guru Nanak to reach your target, goal and destination. Guru Nanak has no physical appearance and only way could be realised is through his philosophy. READ GURU NANAK'S PHILOSOPHY OF LIFE, YOU AND GOD THROUGH HIS PHILOSOPHY. IT IS WRITTEN IN SHRI GURU GRANTH SAHIB FOR YOUR REFERENCE. WELCOME TO WORLD OF ETERNAL HAPPINESS AND JOY.

The Hindu forgot the basics

Aeik Aounkaar Sathgur Persaadh

The Hindu forgot the basics
(SSGGS0556 II Mahalaa 1 II)

Guru Naanak Sahib addresses the Hindus about their forgetfulness.

Guru Naanak says the Hindus have forgot their basics about their religion. Due to that their efforts are going down the drain.

The Hindus are acting like blinds and don't find the correct path. The Hindus are preaching the people but due to lack of their basics they are speaking like dumbs. The Hindus due to lack of basics are wandering in dark and continue their path deep into darkness without realizing their correct path.

Guru Naanak further says The Hindus are so ignorant and illiterate in their practice that they keep on worshipping the rocks. Oh my ignorant friend! The Hindu! Just think wisely if a rock drowns itself in ocean how it could save you.

The above insight on Guru Naanak is although addressing The Hindus but it is not limited to Hindus only. Any person who practice any belief simply by following the hypocrite priests of their religion are simply wasting their time and energy in useless practices. These practices simply fulfill the desires and needs of hypocrite religious priests of all religions and their institutions. But the worshipper gain nothing out of it.

Guru Naanak addresses all people regardless they are Hindu, Muslim, Buddh, Jain,  Jewish, Christian, Ahmadhiya or else that there is One True Master of everything and evéryone and everything is in His control and under His command. The One True Master is pleased only with those who worship the One True Master only. Worship of idols made out of any material like rock, gold, silver etc can't please the One True Master. Only those people who worship in name of One True Master are acceptable to Him.
A True Hindu, True Muslim, True Christian, True Sikh and others always worship in the name of One True Master. Those who worship rocks and idols are simply ignorant and illiterate about One True Master and keep wasting their time and efforts by following hypocrite priests and institutions controlled by these hypocrites.

Yet Hindus are busy breaking down One True Master into their own imaginations or imaginations of hypocrite priests and institutions. They are so ignorant and illiterate in their basic knowledge of The One True Master and wasting their time and efforts.

Guru Naanak says The One True Master resides inside everyone and only true people feel His presence inside and rest keep wandering in search of Him. Oh my ignorant friend He is within you to realize and not outside. Once you realize Him within you then you will understand that He is everywhere and in everyone. He is in Kashi! He is in Mecca! He is in Jerusalem!  He is in Amritsar! Simply believing His presence only in one place and no where else is foolishness, ignorance and lack of basics. He is present in every atom and sub atoms in micro and macro world and in every soul. It is our job to realize Him within us.

Before you see Him outside anywhere, you must realize Him first within you, with the blessing and guidance of true Guru . Only the True Guru could help you connect with Him and no one else. To see Him inside you, you must focus on His Name always and shape your mind with the Words of True Guru. True Guru is immortal, fearless, selfless, biasless, weightless, fireproof, waterproof, foolproof and for whole humanity.

Guru Naanak says remember the One True Master every moment or at least anytime by any name. Because He has many names but He is only One. So just remember the One and only One who is master controller and commander of everyone and everything.

The above article is based on Guru Naanak's Shabadh on page 556 of Sahib Sri Guru Granth Sahib. The article's sole purpose is to make people aware about good and bad practices of religions so that people can focus in right direction and on right The One True Master. There is no need to be afraid of any type of curses or bad evils from hypocrites of any religion because there is no such thing for those who believe in The One True Master and His Truth.  For suggestions contact sweetcanada@gmail.com

Liking

Liking

Liking means keen interest in somethings some activity.

Everyone is different. Even within same family. Each mind has different interests.

Some like certain foods, games, groups, hobbies.

Tasty food brings satisfaction and contentment in the mind. But it is short lived.

Nice music and lyrics have same effect.

Same is case of nice cloths, nice cars, wealth and so on.

But there is a special interest which is eternal and forever. This is interest in Truth and Source of Truth. Those minds who once taste it never like to give it up.

True Name of True Master blessed by True Guru is the True interest which lasts forever and Seeker of Truth (Sikh) never compromise anything less than True Name.

Kirpaa (Blessing)

Kirpaa Blessing

There are two types of blessings:
Blessings to True Master (True God)
Blessings of True Guru (True Teacher)

True Guru's blessing is subject to True Master's blessing.

True Master bless the company of True Guru.
True Guru bless the enlightenment of True Master.

True Guru bless enlightenment through True words which help to understand the mystery of Omnipotent and Omnipresent.
True Guru bless enlightenment through True Name of True Master - HAR.

Every one work hard to achieve worldly accomplishments. Those who reach pinnacle of success through hard work always have a role model in their mind. They put efforts to become like a role model.

Role model of every mind is generally different. Some like to become like parents or siblings or friends. Some like to become like a celebrity and so on. Every mind grows with time and role model may change from time to time.

The Truth seeker (Sikh) has a role model in mind and that is True Master and True Guru.

Anything less than that does not help the Sikh to achieve the destination.

Various minds are very cunning. They just copy the True Name of True Master and portray either themselve's as True Guru or somebody else who is popular in majority of minds.

Copying True Name does not means copying the True attributes of True Master which are necessary for Sikh to reach destination.

Natural Force: Electricity

Natural Force: Electricity

Electricity is everywhere and in everyone. Chemistry is very similar to electricity. But electricity is limited to conducting materials and non conducting materials.

Electricity git it's name from electrons. Electrons are mainly responsible for flow of electricity. Electrons are equally responsible for chemical reaction as well. Due to this reason chemistry and electricity are very close to each other and in most cases complement each other.

Who we are

Who we are

Who we are because of our past
Who we will be because of our present

Our past couldn't be changed
Our future is our choice

Without Guru we are illiterate

Guru help to develop personality

Good virtues leads to knowledge

Without good attributes of life
Life is fruitless

Good attributes needs time and efforts

Good attributes are good desire

Life is short lived
Life long actions results in new life

Human life is supreme in lives

Human has no power to change the past except the Master
But only human has power to change present and future

Human= Fixed Past
Human= Changeable Present
Human= Changeable Future?

Animals = Fixed Past
Animals = Fixed Present
Animals = Fixed Future?

Being human wasn't our choice
To be good or bad human is our choice

Future is non existent until
Future reaches to present

Past is non Changeable but
Our present could add some good stuff to our past

Past is done and non Changeable
But don't forget your present is turning into past every moment
Don't let moment be wasted
Doing nothing is a waste
Doing negative is a waste
Doing positive is useful

Moment by moment life is turning into past
Keeping next moment the same as the current moment is like
a water in a pond which slowly starts staling stinking and disappearing

If you don't like your past
Give yourself a favor
Change your current moment
Which is your present
And don't leave it for next moment
Because next moment is in future
And future don't change anything

Every moment is precious
Because change occurs in a moment
And each moment is in your hands

Every one has millions of moments
But don't worry moments don't come together
Luckily each moment is followed by another moment
Focus on each moment without being worried or curious about the next

Drop by drop water turns into glass, pitcher, pond, river and ocean
Moment by moment life turns into literacy knowledge wisdom genius and noble

Those who regret their past and
Worry their future never have time to change their present and
Waste their entire life unless
They stop regretting their past and worrying their future and
Start changing their present a bit different from their past

By thinking good
Doesn't make it good
But without thinking good
Bad is evident

Like to invest a lot in your future
Then invest a little in your present

Those who keeping thinking good
Never do any good to themselves or to mankind

Thinking good and acting simultaneously is the common virtue of all saints, soldiers, scholars and nobles of the historic world

If you think peace comes without a good soldier
Then you can't discredit a good soldier any more

Think and act simultaneously
A bit by bit by every moment
That is the only key to success
Rest is theories in books

Thinking bold is a good virtue
Without action it turns into evil in no time

Thinking positive without action is like a fruit tree without fruit

Action without thinking could be highly regrettable and harming

Closeness

Closeness

Closeness in mind brings negativity in spirit,  attitude, behaviour, action and new learning,

Close mind is the worst of minds. Regardless of generousness, humbleness, richness, intelligence, religiousness, genius and saintly virtues close-mind ends up in ditch.

A-K-K-A Aapae Karae Karaae Aapae

A-K-K-A
-------------------------------------
SGGS0125 Page 125 of Shri Guru Granth Sahib
-------------------------------------
{Aapae Karae Karae Aapae II}

Aapae: He (True God) Himself
Karae: Does
Karaae: Get it done
--------------------
Meaning: The True God do everything by Himself and also get things done from us. The thoughts and actions of human being are controlled by The True God. In other words what we think we have done, doing and will do is simply a illusion of our mind. He himself control our thoughts and actions. In other words He is our commander and we are His soldiers and our job is to take the command and act accordingly without manipulating the command.
